What is All Ok?

"All Ok"  Is about creating personal awareness which encourages people to go and check their heart at any age, even if the smallest thing concerns you.

6 easy steps to, All Ok?

  1. All Ok?
  2. GP visit
  3. A discussion about, Why I don't feel Ok?
  4. Blood pressure check, Cholesterol levels LDL, HDL and requesting  LP(a) marker tests, ECG test, CT coronary angiogram if possible.
  5. GP report
  6. Ok to go!

Why I don't feel Ok.

Discussion points with your GP include:

  • A sense of anxiety or urgency underpinned by a feeling of doom
  • Desire to seek immediate medical care even though other symptoms don't warrant it
  • Feeling that something bad or unusual is happening sensing a premonition

Why is this important?

Discussions with survivors of heart attacks often have sensations or feelings leading up to the event. Victims of widowmaker heart attacks, also known as a STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction), have very low survival rates - people who have cardiac arrests outside of hospitals have just a 6 per cent chance of survival, and in the case of widowmaker attacks it's even lower. The testing exists to uncover these underlying conditions however is not often requested for.
